She is a singer as well as a designer, and music innovator. She was the first Mexican American singer who was both traditional and modern. She brought both cultures together and helped bring Tejano music into mainstream culture. Much like of a brilliant and friendly star is lost far too early, her untimely demise has thrown her profile into a quagmire. Many mourned all of her potential, which was untapped. Through the years, her people were inspired to work even harder to make sure that Selena's successes would not fade away. The tragic death by shooting of Tejano singer Selena has triggered a response within the Latino community that could be thought of as similar to the responses in the wake of the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon. The most well-known Latino artist in North America, Selena's music has touched the lives of many throughout the world. Selena might have been described by many as a Latina Madonna, but she's still an excellent character model. Selena's off-stage family values and her participation in AIDS awareness programs are exemplary.
