Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on March 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She is an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. In the month of October Ari Lennox debuted her EP Pho. This was the moment that she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio album came out on May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music on the internet back in 2012 after she dropped her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013. In 2014, she released more music via the Internet including Bound. On July 21st, 2015, Omen included her in Elephant Eyes song Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to work in conjunction with Rihanna. On December 28, 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna was signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution to the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In the month of October the singer-songwriter released her debut EP, Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. in 2018, the singer-songwriter guested on two tracks with EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas On Icarus. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanied music video on September 5. Then on November 9, she released two additional singles, forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November 2013 she released No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019 to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured along with Cole as part of the Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. In February 2019 the video music for this track was launched. It has had more than three million YouTube views within a week. She supported 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December the year 2018.
